– The definition of Public Relations practice can be a difficult task for its professionals, in order to outline their functions and what it is as a whole, without having their work commonly confused with Marketing and even with Advertising. Therefore, as an attempt to simplify its parameters and distinct the activities, this piece of work aims to explain the differences and similarities of these professions. Focusing in particular on an overview of the main definitions of Public Relations, such as its origin and practice….  

The Role of the Management Consultant

– Introduction The review set out to discuss the statement “It is the consultant’s responsibility to facilitate client decision-making, not change the decisions the client would have made anyway” (Wickham and Wickham 2008). To do so, the review firstly outlines the client- consultant relationship and the consultant’s responsibility and role once they are hired, in light of the work of prominent authors like Appelbaum (2004), Calvert (2005) and O’Mahoney (2010). Then, the review analyses the client’s decision-making processes and consultant’s role in it, with help of authors like Wickham and Wickham (2008), Schein (1997) and Turner (1982)….

– In the profession of public relations, experience and understanding in international affairs has now become increasingly significant. Public relation practitioners will have to alter the way they work because it is rather different working with colleagues or clients other than their own as multiple languages may have to be translated after a creation of a campaign material and practitioners may have to travel to other countries to conduct public relations work. Also, due largely to globalisation, public relations practitioners must be fully aware that communicating with an international audience is pretty well inescapable….

When it comes to the legitimacy the which according to Suchman (1991) is the comprehensive observation and hypothesis that the actions of an entity are desirable, proper, or appropriate coming within society values and customs and philosophy. When organisation start operating the set standards for society and communities to continue their operation….
