A Career in Intensive Care Unit

– Intensive care unit my reason for studying this career is because knowing that you can help the patients. Many people out there are really sick. Not only can you help them also you watch them for long periods of times. They make sure the kids are okay and the grown people are doing well. Being there to help really sick people is something I would love to do. It was established in 1964 to help educate nurses working in newly developed intensive care units. The American Association of (ICU) Nurses (AACN) is the world’s largest specialty nursing organization….  

Preventing and Assessing Intensive Care Unit Delirium

– Abstract Delirium in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has become a genuine phenomenon and can be problematic for the patient and the staff caring for them. Delirium occurs when a patient is placed in an unfamiliar environment and has to endure the stress of not just the hospitalization but the stimuli of the environment, which can cause disturbances in consciousness. Patients can become confused, anxious, and agitated; making this difficult for the staff to correctly diagnosis and care for them. Sleep deprivation and environmental factors along with neurotransmitters are strongly related to the occurrence of ICU delirium….  

Statement of Purpose to Become a Neonatal Nurse

– My Future Career My career I want to do it be is to be a neonatal nurse. My job would be helping babies, and when you are taking care of them to go home. I would love to be around them all the time, they are just so adorable in every way. The neonatal nursing started in the 1970’s. That started in the United States, and Japan. In the years in 2009 and 2010 they met 11 times for talking about new ways of doing things. They used to call them kangoshi, which meant a group of nurses that were licensed nurses….

They are responsible for providing quality anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in order to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures (America Association of Nurse Anesthetists, 2010). While their services are mainly used in the surgical setting, CRNAs can also provide assistance for pain management associated with obstetrical labor and delivery or for chronic and acute pain. Although they typically work under the supervision of Anesthesiologists, based on states regulations and by laws, they may also work independently (Kansas University Medical Center, 2014)….
